The Poll Winners
The carry-on won our first poll!

I wish I was more excited that a carry on bag was chosen. I guess the reason is that I have been looking for one with no real success. Mine still works, but was seriously beat up on our trip to Africa last summer so I have been looking for a while. Tip: I recommend hard sided for all luggage except your personal item in case you ever decide to check the item. I was super excited about the Nobl brand. I love that they do not have zippers as I have had zippers split during travel and things be missing when I arrive at my destination. However, as always I checked the size of the carry-on and the carry-on size requirements for the airlines that I frequent. I LOVE their Duo-Carry, but the Nobl brand is too big. No, thank you. What that means is that you will be stuck checking what you thought was a carry-on every time. I check my bags a lot as it’s free (more on that another time) but I want the ability to carry-on when I want. So, for now, I am sticking with my Delsey. I can not show you an exact on-line picture because it is so old. I did find a carry-on that looks a lot like Andy’s at Costco though. I promise I am not getting anything from Delsey for all these recommendations! I pick them because you can usually find a great deal on their luggage. Macy’s is constantly having sales on their luggage and usually have extra coupons on top of that. I have also found 2 piece sets at Costco for less than what one piece costs. Costco prices are definitely the winner right now if you do not have additional coupons for Macy’s. We recently purchased a larger size checked bag for our Alaska trip and we went with a Delsey. The price of the Nobl piece for the same size was just too much (over twice what I paid for our Delsey). I do really love the idea of luggage companies getting away from zippers though and I hope more start to follow Nobl. I also love the idea of a hidden power bank with a port on the outside of the luggage. They even have cup, bag and phone holders on the Nobl carry-on. Those are great features, but won’t help me in the airport when I have to check the bag, so I passed. Tip: Know what features you are looking for in luggage and search those out but keep in mind airline size requirements. It is a bummer to think you are going to be able to carry-on only to get to the airport and be forced to check the bag because it is not going to fit in the overhead compartment. So in the end, I have stuck with my trusty Delsey carry-on. I do need to replace it as the zipper is broken after “getting lost” and then falling 6 feet off the luggage carousel in Africa. But that’s a story for another day.
