Hawaii
Maui to be exact

We were invited to Maui for a wedding. We were both super excited as this is a place that I had wanted to go years ago when we were in Oahu, but we could not make it happen. We said yes right away. The problem then began how to pay for this. Andy had points through work that could be translated into gift cards. Tip: If your company offers something like this, save them up and use them for travel. He could have used this points for other things (gift cards to restaurants, products, etc) but we ear-marked all of them for travel. He had been saving up since he began with his company so that we could get to Africa someday. We knew we could get Delta gift cards, but we had no idea how much his points were worth. We were able to get Delta gift cards to cover our flight to Maui. Since it was a wedding, we knew the place that we were going to stay. We actually had enough points to pay for the place too! We would just need to pay taxes and fees. We set up a rental car (a convertible of course) and were excited just to go. We were able to meet family members from different cities in an airport and then finish the flight with them. Tip: If you are traveling with people from different cities, you can try to meet up at airports on a layover on the way. We have also done this with our girls while traveling. This was during the school year, so our stay was a little shorter than other family members. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed time with the family. This is where Andy began filming for his YouTube Channel (enjoy!). We were able to take a snorkeling trip with the family. As we left, Andy and I drove the road to Hana and visited Haleakala National Park. It was a great trip.
