Chamonix, France
We made it, I think. It was quite a trip for us to get to here and I will share it with you.

We made it to Chamonix! It was a rough time for me personally. It began with me procrastinating packing on Friday night. I had begun to pack earlier (too early for me) and then rethought everything I had packed because it was going to be warmer than I thought. I then justified not packing on Friday as I was too tired from work. I went to bed and woke up Saturday morning (day we were leaving). I took a shower and began packing. Everything was going well. I was mostly packed but still had a list of things to do around the house. I started to do those and that is when I started getting very flustered. I was ready to cry. I then went and asked Andy if we could go to breakfast. He said yes. I wanted to do something ordinary for us on a Saturday and it seemed be working. Then I dumped an entire new cup of Diet Coke all over the table, the floor and me at the restaurant. I was already dressed for the airport. We had to go back home and I took the clothes off to clean them. I wish I could say it got better from there. We were a half hour into our drive when we realized that we did not have Andy's Mastercard. Not a problem if we were going to constantly be together, but we do not ski/snowboard at the same level. I am a pedestrian skier that likes slow and steady after my knee and back surgeries. He gets private guides to take him off piste. One credit card between us was not going to work. Back home we had to go. Luckily I planned for way too much time. Tip: Many countries outside the US do not take American Express. You need to have Mastercard or visa. I had planned time for us to go to a mall by our daughter's new apartment. But, by the time we arrived, I had a quick tour of her apartment and it was on to the airport. It all worked out though!
